We collect your email address, display name, taste profile (genres and domains you select), ratings you give to discoveries, and your Curiosity Radius score. We also collect your IP address temporarily for rate limiting purposes — this is not stored permanently.
Your taste profile is used to match you with relevant discoveries via our Crossing Graph algorithm. Your ratings improve the confidence scores of crossing paths, making recommendations better for everyone. We never sell your data to third parties.
We use Supabase (database & authentication), Resend (email delivery), Google Gemini (AI-generated explanations), Vercel (hosting), Upstash (rate limiting), and Sentry (error monitoring). Each service has its own privacy policy.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed. Anonymous rating data may be retained to maintain recommendation quality.
You can export all your data (JSON or CSV) from Settings > Privacy at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings > Account. You can update your taste profile or notification preferences at any time.
We use only strictly necessary session cookies for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies beyond what Vercel Analytics provides (which collects no personally identifiable information).
